1How can I calculate what my costs will be for Option #1?

Option #1 – Approximate costs for Paper and fixed Ink Fees by Print Size
The chart below is meant to provide you with an estimated per print cost for your paper (supplied by you) and our set Ink Fees.
There are many different types of papers and they can be purchased at B&H and K&M (which is just a few blocks away) . You can have paper delivered to the premises prior to your appointment but please let us know in advance.

Once you purchase your paper you can me accurately calculate your paper costs by determining the total number of sq. feet in your roll of paper and then dividing the total number of sq. in. in the roll into the cost of the paper.

Example:
If your roll of paper is 44″x100′, first convert your ft. into inches.
100′ x12(inches) = 1200
44″ x1200″ = 52,800
52,800 ÷ 144 = 366.66 sq. ft.
If your paper costs $94 (the B&H price of Epson Enhanced Matte InkJet Paper) then divide the sq. ft. of the paper into the price:
$94 ÷ 366.66 = 0.2563683 (about $0.25 per sq.ft.)

Please remember that there will likely be some paper waste. For instance, If you are printing a 30×40 print on 44′ paper, then your paper size will be 30″x44″. Many different papers also come in Cut Sheets and can be used with the Epson p20000 but it is more expensive then roll paper.

A good way of estimating your paper costs is by calculating about $3 per sq. ft. for Tier 1 ( $1 for paper and $2 ink) and $5 per sq. ft. for Tier 2 ( $2 for paper and $3 for ink). BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT PAPERS, THESE PRICES ARE ESTIMATED PRICES ONLY .

2 How many prints can I make per hour?

The EpsonSure Color p20000 64″ printer is much faster then their older models. The chart posted below will help you to calculate how many prints you can print per hour. Please be sure to calculate in extra time for test prints if you require them and for file preparation.

4 How can I calculate square feet?

If you are printing sizes other then the ones on our price list, you can calculate your ink fee. In order to calculate the number of sq. in feet.
Per print size, first be sure to covert both dimensions into inches
(if your size is 4’x6′ then multiply the number of feet by 12 (inches) to 48″x72″).

Once your dimensions are in feet, multiply the width x height and then divide the total by 144.

EXAMPLE -48X72 = 3,456
3,456 ÷144=24 sq.ft

5 How big can I print?

Our Epson 11880 printers can print up to 64″ wide by virtually any length. Many fine art papers come in maximum 60″ widths.

6What days and hours are you open?

All printing will be done by RESERVATION ONLY, we will not be available for walk-ins. Reservations can be made 7 days a week from 10am -8pm . Our minimum reservation is for 2 hours for both option 1 and Option 2.

Reservations can be made by calling Beth Schiffer at 212-966-3800. If you get her answering machine, please text her at 917-701-4691 with your name and number and she will get back to you promptly.

7 Do you offer a B2B Option where I can operate the printer myself?

There is a 4th option available only for people who are really experienced Printers and are very familiar with the Epson p20000 series. With this option all renters will supply both their own INK and their own PAPER. The inks will be switched with our ink when ever they rent the space and the printer. We will offer OPTION 4 only on weekends from Saturday at 10am-6pm and Sunday from 10am- 6pm This option is $1000 for both days. Because of the time it takes to switch the inks option 4 is available only for full weekend rental whether all the hours are used or not. A short tutorial is included and a technician will assist you in changing the inks. We will store the ink for frequent renters while space is available . You will have total privacy between opening and closing hours. Additional hours will be charged at a rate of $100 per hour.

8 Do I have to pay for prints I'm not happy with?

Because of our discounted prices our clients must pay for all prints unless there is an error on our part or if a print is damaged by the printer or our technician.

9Do you offer mounting and framing services?

Yes we offer in-house mounting and framing at our 40th Street location. We have free pick-up of the prints to go to the 40th Street location. From there we have a messenger service that you can hire to deliver the prints or they can be picked up in person . Shipping and custom built crates are also available from 250 West 40th Street , 2nd floor.

10Do you offer scanning services?

Yes we also offer scanning services . Hi res scanning, drum scanning g and flT bed scanning are all available from our 40th Street location. You can drop off and pick up your original negs or chromes or flat art at either location.

11Reservations and cancellations

All reservations must be made by phone or text . You can call at 212-966-3800 or call or text at 917-701-4691. Cancelations must be made 48 hours in advance for all rentals. We take a no -refundable $100 deposit at the time the reservation is made which will be applied and deducted firom your. bill . If you cancel with-in the 48 hour time frame we will apply your deposit to your new reservation or give you a $100 credit toward future seevices. No cash refunds will be given. If you purchase paper from us, in most cases we will order it from our distributor and you will be required to pay for it in full before we place the order.
All other payments will be made at the end of your session.

12What forms of payments do you except?

Preferred payment methods: Zelle & Venmo

We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express and all debit cards. We also accept company and personal checks with proper ID and Cash. We also accept PayPal “friends and family” to avoid the PayPal fee.

13Do you sell paper?

Yes we do. Though we can’t keep all the different papers in stock, we can usually order any paper of your choice with-in 2-3 days. We have sample paper books on the premises that you can make an appointment to come and look at and you can view all the different paper options. I will be adding a list of papers and their prices in the near future. Our paper will be sold at very competitive prices.

14Where else can I purchase Paper?

When you’re ready to order paper I will help you order from one of my paper suppliers and they can deliver paper directly to my premises

15Do you offer discounts?

Yes, I offer discounts on exhibitions and other projects. Please contact us through email or call for a quote

16Do you offer students discount?

Yes, I offer a 30% students discount for students who are currently in school or have graduated within the past 2 years
